Lapua factory Subsonic ammo

Does anyone know what powder they use?

the COAL is 2.625" and the powder seems to be packed fairly tight.

Sorry - cant help with the factory powder.

FWIW I have shot quite a few of these rounds - when the supply ran out I was able to duplicate it fairly well using the Lapua projectile & 11.5 grains of Trailboss powder.

Works a treat.

IT is VV N310 I used the same powder for years in my subsonic. about 9.5 w/ a 180 gr. Hornady RN. Use a Lee Factory Crimp die. Much more accurate.

Isn't VV N310 a pistol powder?

yes it is a pistol powder,but so is trailboss. It is one of the fastest powders out. like #3 or #4 it works quite well but with Trail boss, it may fall to the wayside. Mike

How quite are these rounds and how far can you effectively hit a target???
