LaRue Lower

YAHOO! Got the tracking number for my LaRue lower. On the way. Now to get the parts for the build. Already got the tools, vice blocks etc. I have a 20" Stealth upper in 5.56 with a Nightforce 3.5-15x50 F1 Army contract over-run scope, Larue/Troy BUIS. Still got to pick out a butt stock.

Any suggestions other than the old standby Magpul PRS w/ the cheek weld and LOP adjustments. Whats the new best thing?

Plus no one else I know cares, so yea me! Three months wait time, if anyone cares...

LaRue not selling lowers anymore? None listed on site. Went looking for what price I paid... What gives?

Interesting! My bet is maybe they are so backlogged, either on lowers or complete rifles, that it doesn't make sense to sell lowers at this time.

I have a rifle on order and I'd rather they not sell lowers until I get my rifle

I called them a few weeks ago to check the status on my lower and he told me they are not going to sell stripped lowers anymore because it's creating such a big backlog, it is slowing down their production on complete rifles. Good thing I placed my order when I did.

Makes sense. I got in just in time, I guess. Good thing because I already have the LaRue 20" upper and my OCD wouldn't allow me to switch lower brands. I really, really wanted a Stealth 20" upper with a LaRue lower with Colt Itsy-bitsy parts except the (fill in the blank) trigger... I guess I'll go with the MagPul PRS stock sans better ideas. I'll break in the barrel over the summer, then oh what fun I'll have this fall!

Too bad about the Larue lowers, I wanted to get one. As far as stocks are concerned, I really like the Magpul UBR. I have a UBR on a Noveske SPR and with the LT-104 mount it is "just right."

i have a UBR on my 18" stealth, would prob just do a CTR if I were doing over. ubr is nice but heavy

PRS is the best for prone, but that about it
