I am wanting to use this optic on a .458 SOCOM build I am planning but I have been advised to determine if the scope can withstand the recoil impulse of the SOCOM. Anyone have any experience with this?
We've sold a ton of them with very little complaints or returns but they have only been out for a short time.
Keep in mind that they are made in China and scopes from China do not have a stellar reputation in regards to QC and durability. That being said I would not mount it on my Beowulf which has already demonstrated what it can do to low end optics.
The new SS 1-4 will be out shortly and I would say it shoud be fine on the Socom given the SS track record. It will be more than the CMR but worth it for sure. IF your not done with the build yet maybe it will be out by the time you are.
