Rifle Scopes Leatherwood CMR and the .458 SOCOM?

Re: Leatherwood CMR and the .458 SOCOM?

We've sold a ton of them with very little complaints or returns but they have only been out for a short time.

Keep in mind that they are made in China and scopes from China do not have a stellar reputation in regards to QC and durability. That being said I would not mount it on my Beowulf which has already demonstrated what it can do to low end optics.

The new SS 1-4 will be out shortly and I would say it shoud be fine on the Socom given the SS track record. It will be more than the CMR but worth it for sure. IF your not done with the build yet maybe it will be out by the time you are.

That particular 4200 is a sleeper and ofter over looked because it is marketed more as a dangerous game scope.

Anything that works good on a shotgun or dangerous game type rifle will work good on a bigbore AR platform.

We run this on our .50 Beowulf and it is a hog thumper.
