I am looking for a left handed custom action and need some advice. Please all the advice you can give would be great. Thanks.

What makes the defiance action better than say a stiller predator? Reason i ask is because i am in the market for an action. I can get a stiller for 750 as this if i buy another will be my fourth action this year. I am really happy with the stiller predator actions. I think they have the very best extraction system available in the market today. I am no smith or anything but man that m-16 style extractor really works. I just wish stiller would tack weld there bolt handles on. That's my only complaint. What the claim to fame with the defiance? Thanks Lee

Phoenix Machine makes left handed actions too. Must be halfway decent or GA would have have the making their crusader actions.

Defiance Machine (formerly Phoenix) actions have all of the same features as Stiller and then some. The bolt geometry is perfect and the extraction process is the best I've seen. The Mini M-16 extractor is available as are a lot of other features. Defiance makes my privately labeled actions and I'm sure you could ask GAP, LA Precision and others on this site what they think and get a good report. What I really appreciate is the ability to design a true one of a kind custom action and have someone that's been in the business of designing and making actions for longer than most discuss the validity of the design with you.

As for longevity in the business, I have been here since 1997, 11 years. I imagine I will be here in another 11 years or more. Most of these features everyone talks about, mini m16 extractor, true matching extraction, etc, etc, etc were our designs/features. I think it is pretty hard to go wrong with one of our actions. Occasionally we can be late on deliveries, but not usually more then a month or so. We do always deliver unlike some of our competitors in the past. We dont take deposits or require payment up front except in special circumstances. WE have never stiffed anyone for any amount of money ever. I wish I could say that about some of my customers and the amounts of money they owe me. I also seem to have a large number of new customers who are buying our products due to those kind of issues in the past.
In this current climate of our economy this should be on all purchasers minds along with all the other issues that matter. We continue to move along, grow as much as possible etc, but still never run on borrowed money or other peoples deposits.
I am proud to say that we are a stand up company that has had the same name, location, phone number and most employees since we have been building actions. When you run your business right you can do things that way.
It makes you wonder why some of my competitors are changing names and locations all the time.
Keep your eyes open around shot show time. We will be making some very interesting announcements then. I think at that point there will be nothing left to be desired in our actions. And I dont expect the price to change much, if any.

Great info stiller. I am going to be looking for the best bang for my buck when getting a custom LH action. Something off the 700 action and maybe with some extras like rail and trigger are a bonus.

I've two Stiller lefty actions and am very satisfied with them. Last one was off the group buy. As far as actions go best bang for your buck.
