tried reaching out to ARC a couple of times with no success, would anyone be able to tell me the lead time on a left handed mausingfield?

thanks in advance

Ted is usually busier than a puppy with two peters. If you don't hear from him, hit up Chad at LRI there is a good chance he will know. I'm going to order a lefty long action next year. I love my lefty Mausingfield.

Shit, Ive had a right handed Mausingfield on order since February with no luck getting it yet, so i can only assume the lefties would take a little longer. Last components Im waiting on for my build.

Yeah i already have the gun that Chad built for shot show this year, but id like another specifically for PRS comps, between the MF and the TL3 I'm not left wanting a thing

I hate to break it to you but apparently not. I was at a match yesterday and my buddy showed me his new rifle. It's built off a left handed Mausingfield action that he ordered in April of this year. I'm like you in that I ordered one in February, so the fact that he's managed to get his faster than me has irritated the crap out of me.

Before we go getting spun up here, there's a few points to consider I think.

1. "your buddy." I'd be curious to know his name and if he bought the action from me. If so, there's a very simple explanation for this. The very first batch of LH Mausingfields went to ME because I had a standing order almost 2 years old for them in quantity. So, if your friend bought it from LRI, it would explain very easily how he got his and you haven't yet.

2. This can be easily verified. What color was the action? If its cerakoted or in the white, then it's not from this year. ALL 2017 built ARC actions are DLC coated. I'd almost bet a nice meal over it because to my knowledge, there haven't been any LH actions sent out yet this year from ARC.

It's definitely the Nitrided/DLC coated action. And I didn't ask them if he bought them direct from you, but that would definitely explain it. It's a sweet action and I know I'm going to be tickled when I get mine up and running.

Any idea what the lead time is on regular right handed actions right now?

Just for sake of clarity: There has never been a Mausingfield delivered to anyone with Nitriding surface treatment. They were first offered in the white. They now come DLC.

Nitriding creates issues.

Over 100 actions are at DLC right now. Hundreds more are close to being ready to send to DLC. The pipe is starting to fill up so with any luck the drought will be over soon.
