I am looking for a new left handed prarie dog gun. I have narrowed it down to a Tikka T3 chambered in 22-250. Does this sound like a good choice or is there a better alternative for the $? I am not looking to spend too much or do much after market work.

Re: Left Handed Varmint Gun

You can get a 22 or 243 cal gun. Whatever you do make sure the barrel has a faster twist than usual. This will let you shoot heavy for caliber bullets so you can shoot longer ranges. Tikka or rem 700 is what I would do. Actually what I would do is buy a lefty 700 that is used for around 400 and buy a match barrel in the caliber and twist you desire for about 300. For 700 you will have an absolute tackdriver. Compared to a 600 or so dollar tikka varmint the 700 does not sound to bad. Good luck
