Rifle Scopes Leica 1600 Won't Scan

Just got my Leica 1600 two days ago and it won't go into scan mode. I was wondering if anyone else has this rangefinder and could tell me if I'm doing this right. Just like the instruction manual says, I press the main button once then I hold the main button down the second time for around 2.5- 3 seconds. It just seems so unlikely that there is a software glitch that I just have to make sure I'm doing this right before I send it in.

Nevermind, figured it out. I knew it had to be me!

My scan feature is like my #2 son. Sometimes behaves. Sometimes dosnt.
