I am looking for opinions from guys who own. Or guys who have experience with the Leice binoculars with the built in LRF. Thanks, Tom.

I had the 10x42s. Buddy had the 8x42s.
The binocular part is what you might expect from Leica..great glass.
The rangefinder had trouble in light mist and on longer (500+yds) soft targets. Both units.
The button to activate the rangefinder is on the left side. Felt a little awkward for a right-hander.
I would get the Zeiss BRF over the leica. In fact, I did order a pair after using my buddy's.

It is some nice glass though. I have looked thru 2 pair, the 10x's and the 15x's. Both of the guys that I know that have them, love them. Both can't believe how amazing they are. They both guide for Elk, and Deer and Antelope.

I have had the Leica 10x42 LRF since they first came out. I use them a lot and love them. I have owned over the years Swarovski 10X and 15X, Zeiss 15X, and a couple other brands. These have been my favorite glass to use because of the quality of glass combined with an excellent rangefinder. I get 1000 yard reads easily, and more with good reflective targets. I do have a friend that had trouble getting long distance laser reads, and sent them back to Leica. They fixed them and they now read long range just fine.
I will say I have looked through the Zeiss rangefinding binocs and liked them a lot. I hate to say it but they seemed just a touch nicer optically than my Leicas. But I am in no hurry to get rid of my Leicas - they serve my needs great.

I have a Zeiss 10x LRF binocs and compared them side by side with Lecia binocs. Looked at lots of other brands as well when making a decision. I think Lecia & Zeiss are close to the best available, short of tripling the cost.
I personally like Zeiss LRF binocs more than Lecia because of:
- body rubberized coating
- lens objective protusion adjustment is better and allows viewing with glasses or protective eye equipment easier.
- The image quality was better to me with Zeiss and crisper with truer color, but that is subjective as someone else with me preferred Lecia's image quality.
- To range with Zeiss, you push the button and release keeping image on target; for Lecia, you push down and keep pushing while keeping image on target and wait for range until you release.

Also the Zeiss has a ballistics calculator but it is not very precise.

I have 8x45RF Zeiss. Compared it to my buddy's Leica 10x40RF (non-HD). The Zeiss ranges faster and has further range (I've ranged big rigs at 1810+ yrds) than the Leica's, but are bulkier. Glass quality is very close.

I liked the glass on the Lecia's better, but sold them and bought the Zeiss binos because the Leica's had trouble ranging targets at 1000+ in less than ideal conditions.
