I've looked at most of the rangefinders in my price range, Bushnell, Nikon, Leupold, and Leica. Leica has the brightest glass. Forums seem to agree it actually ranges out to its advertised distance also.
So, I can get the CRF for $150 less than the CRF-R. Is the CRF-R worth the extra money? It gives the true range out to 600 yards. I probably would not shoot a game animal past 400 yards. I figure the true range function might be helpful for 200-400 yard shots. I know folks here have much more experience with long distance than I do. Any advice on the usefulness of the CRF-R is appreciated. I'd particularly like to hear opinions from those that use the Leica.
Thanks
