length of tight bore barrel?

I keep keeping conflicting info... What's the longest length one can run on a tight bore (.298) barrel chambered for .308?

That's actually what barrel I ended up with, and I've called him a few times but haven't had any luck getting an answer and he apparently doesn't have an answering machine.

mine had .2983 stamped on the butt of the barrel.

I got ahold of Barrett today, he cleared up alot of the bs for me. He also gave me the best tip yet... "To help with your accuracy, hit the center of the target"
