I’ve used one before. Never had any issues with it but I did end up replacing it with a badger rail but that was just because I prefer badger.Anybody tried one of these? I need one and looked at this one but noticed it takes 6-48 and 8-40 screws. Must be tapered but do they work with the 6-48?
Yeah they hold zero just fine. Used both screw sizes on different rifles and had no problems. Was wondering if they would hold zero with the 2 different size screw configurations. I need 6-48

This rail is tapped to use both 6-48 and 8-40 so now do you understand why I am questioning it?I've never had a rail or scope base held with #6 screws NOT hold zero.
WTF

Mark 4® Tactical Bases are the only bases to accommodate both the oversized 8-40 screw and a 6-48 screw, providing compatibility with the widest range of modern tactical firearms. Both styles of screws are included with each Mark 4 base.
I don't think that I need to use both screw sizes. My other rails are either bored for 6-48 or 8-40 not both. These are priced right but I have no experience with a rail that has a tapered hole to accommodate 2 different screw sizes. So I was just wandering if anybody had used one of these rails and had any problems with them using either screw size.
This!You're overthinking it.
Run it, the mark series stuff is solid. Quit overanalyzing.
