I know full well we are not to post about LEOs but this one put dust in my eyes and I wanted to share.

If this gets me banned then I am in the wrong place anyway and it has been nice knowing all of you, so here goes.

The Aurora Colorado PD Special team went out to Children's Hospital to practice Hot Rope/Repelling.

They put on Super Hero costumes like Spiderman and others costumes I know nothing of like Turtles and shit like that, not into that other than what my Grandchildren teach me.

They came down the side of the building training but with these costumes on and would swing into windows to look, the looks in the eyes and the excitement in those Kids was priceless. They would take a pause and wave to the kids then continue on to the next. Good training.

It was covered in the local Denver TV channels but I will be fucked if I know how to link it or whatever. Above the Old Hippie's pay grade.

It really touched my heart that they did that and made so many sick kids happy.

Ban me, I am Guilty. Regards, FM

I think the ban is when you talk shit or put them down. I’m pretty sure you’re safe.

If the negative can’t be posted then neither should the positive. Either both or nothing.

It is a good story though.
I don’t even think the negative stories will get you banned. It’s the shitting on the LEO community as a whole that’s the issue. Discussing something in the news is possible without being a douche when referencing a story involving LE.

My oldest Son, who when younger was a patient at Children's Hospital, and now is a Denver area Fed. LEO, and firearms instructor, told me that this is not a first time event and Aurora PD does this training every once in a while and this is not a first.

I have been sent a few Fakebook reactions from the Kids inside when they do this and it is all coordinated with the staff where Spidey or others in costume, don't show up on the window of some Kid that is scared of his/her own shadow but move on to where they are needed. Very well done by APD and I think other agencies as well of the staff at Children's Hospital.

My favorite thing I have been sent is of a little girl about 3-4 years old who pisses a puddle when the SuperHero shows up outside her window then she charges the window to get a High Five.

Dust in my Old eyes. FM
