Breakout those Les Baers and let’s see em. Finally ordered my first one Les Baer TRS no front serrations. Can’t wait to get it in this week. Once I do I will post pics.

Kept it drenched with CLP and did not clean for the first 1000. Went to GunFighter after that and have had no problems whatsoever. One of my favorite 1911s I own.
I have always wanted a TRS but got a Springfield Professional years ago and never really had a need for the TRS. I do love the Les Baer 1911s though.
How’s the professional been for you? Springfield makes some nice 1911’s from what I’ve been told. I don’t have any hands on experience with one of their model 1911 pistols though.
The Pro really cant be compared to the other Springfields as it is hand built and all made in America. The frames for most of the springers is made in Brazil, that doesn’t mean they are bad, its just they use different frames and MIM parts and basically are just assembled. The Pro is hand built with fitted parts and does not use any MIM parts. It’s a really nice and tight 1911. I have a Springfield 1911 9mm from my old IDPA days that has close to 90k rounds thru it and its still going strong. It’s had several parts replaced thru the years and the barrel is pretty much shot out but its been a great pistol. The Pro is the only one from Springfield I would put in the Les Baer class. I love the blueing and feel of the Les pistols. Really nice

I should have it before the end of the week. We all pitched in and got my dad a Colt Combat Elite in .45ACP for his 50th birthday/retirement gift. As long as my Baer arrives before Friday we will get to run them side by side this upcoming weekend. I personally wanted to get him the TRS as well, but he is allllllll about Colt through and through. Hopefully he enjoys it as much as we do giving it to him.
Y’all are sure making me want to get a TRS. I’d have to add a magwell, I don’t reckon I can own a 1911 without a magwell. They just look like they belong there. I carry and EMP and I put a magwell on it. Lol

I always like seeing pictures of well worn TRS. They were made to be used. I regret flipping an early serial number TRS. Bought one when they came out and like an idiot sold it to someone.
Oh man, I couldn’t imagine what that feels like. I don’t ever wanna know. Picking up the pistol today will post pics tonight, and a range report probably Saturday evening.
I don’t know how they are built nowadays but holy hell my sample of one was SUPER tight. People weren’t kidding when they said they were bank vault tight. I think I ran almost 600-700 before field stripping it the first time.
Just got my hands on it, it is so tight that the slide can’t be racked using a thumb and pointer finger. Only way to rack it is with an overhand grip. Couldn’t be happier.
Very nice. Post pics when you can. I wish my Springfield Pro was that tight.

Man oh man this pistol is sweet. Had no issues with this pistol all day. Fired a total of 210 rounds today to start the break in period, and I was quite impressed. Hands down my favorite sidearm. It functioned flawlessly throughout the morning. The 210 rounds were fired using an assortment of magazines, and not a single issue. No hang ups no FTF no FTE just perfection. Out of every one of the mags, I had zero issues from start to finish whether doing slow fire or firing at a sustained rate ranging from 5 to 25 yards. Fired several different types of ammo also again with no issues. This pistol is flat out better than me. Ammo and mags used are listed below

The PDX rounds were noticeably hotter, but still quite soft shooting rounds were easily keyholed from 5 to 15 yards. Best group of the day was shot by my father at 25 yards. 6 round string was 1.75in. Gun shoots lights out highly impressed. I won’t be able to go back to shooting another 1911 of lesser stature. This gun was better than I could have ever imagined. Will not part with this one, it is a lifer.
