This is most of the fur kids at the house. The brown and white basset is my boy. The other basset is the old maid and just wants to be left alone. The terrier is a spaz and weirdo. The cat is a dick. I often times refer to him as Captain Asshole. We have another cat that's a ham and is my wife's shadow.

Growing up I had a tri color basset. Unfortunately he was aggressive his entire life and wanted to be left alone but he was our first dog and always getting into trouble. Stealing quartered up deer out of the cooler and dragging it under the house, running away and chasing and killing raccoons and other small critters, and had been run over a few times. Incredibly tough, incredibly dumb lol

Basset hounds are an interesting breed to say the least. We had another male Gomer before we got Buddy. He was a food thief and was very good at his craft. Lol. He would stop at nothing to get into the kitchen and snag food. One day my daughter forgot to close up the kitchen and he snagged a whole pizza out of the fridge, the wife was pissed.

We are also a short leg dog house. I want a corgi, so maybe the wife will let me get one after I get back from this trip.
Everyone needs a corgi! Anytime I’m around regular size dogs now they seem huge to me lol. Two of these fit in the back seat no problem for trips and love traveling!

Spotting a fox. If you look hard enough, you'll see him where the two logs meet.

Half pit, half rottie and all bed hog. Rescued her March 8th 2014. Not the best bird dog by far but she tries.

The last picture was taken a week before we rescued her on March 1, 2019. She has come a long way since.

Yeah we have a male yorkie as well, and an old female pug too. (2 dogs too many), but the only one who's any trouble is the yorkie. His prey drive is off the charts. In the spring him and his "little brother" (who's actually much bigger by 145lbs more) make a mess of my firewood every year. The yorkie sits atop the stack, and the akita then grabs a piece of firewood and flings it out of the way. The yorkie will jump up in the air when the akita grabs the wood and so he lands face down into the hole left in the wood pile after the akita chunks a piece off the pile. They do this to get chipmunks. It's quite a sight to see. They both may be getting too old to do that anymore but if they do it again I'm going to get a video of it. It's pretty cool.

The yorkie is a pain in the ass though. I'd never ever have another one. Bought if for my wife many years ago before I knew any better.

I hear ya! I also bought her for the wife and daughter, she was a pain in ass as a puppy, but she's 5 now and is really a great dog! I've never been a fan of little dogs but they grow on you! Lol
