Baer TRS with Larry Davidson Warthog grips. Since this picture was taken the rear sight has been changed to a 10-8. This gun is used for IDPA and occasional carry.

Delta Elite built by Bruce Gray. This is going back in a month or so for a few more things.

-10-8 long, curved trigger
-Bar-Sto Match Target 10mm barrel, flush cut and crown 11*
-stainless, blank EGW Heavy Duty slide stop, hand checkered top and bottom 30 LPI to match frontstrap
-stainless, blank, Chen MaxBevel flat mainspring housing, hand checkered 30 LPI to match frontstrap

This gun also now has a set of LD's grips, but my pictures don't look anywhere near as nice as the one above.

Re: Lets see those 1911's!!!!

Springfield Armory's

Silver one is a 1911A1 Loaded - I've Changed the rear sights to Novak and the grips are now by Larry Davidson. Springfield Armory Custom Shop replaced the barrel with a fitted Nowlin match barrel, carry bevel, and checkered the front strap 25lpi. I'll try and get one with the current configuration.

Black one is a Springfield mil-spec Champion. A beaver tail and commander hammer was added after I got bit by the spur hammer.

Re: Lets see those 1911's!!!!

Older pic, the STI had a red grip I kryloned. The paint started to wear through giving it a kinda cool two tone effect.

...couldn't get used to it so I swapped for a black grip.

Re: Lets see those 1911's!!!!

Here's mine: Springfield Armory Loaded Parkerized. Still stock. Shoots low, so may be sending it back for a sight adjustment and possibly a trigger job as it is a bit gritty still.

Re: Lets see those 1911's!!!!

A few of mine. That is a Springfield on the left. It has been worked over pretty well from its original configuration. In the middle is a Kimber Custom II that has also been worked over. Most of the internals are Ed Brown parts. The barrel is a Jarvis. And on the right is a stock Ed Brown Special Forces.

Re: Lets see those 1911's!!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe today is the 100th anniversary of the 1911 pistol.... well today is also my birthday so I think I would be a borderline communist if I didn't go make a purchase. What do you think?

Just got it today. Did some break-in. Shot 150 Rounds of 230Gr FMJ's and finished the day with those 7 rounds of 230Gr Golden Sabers. Had to function check the HP's to make sure they'd feed OK. I did pretty good for my first hand gun I think.

Love the EMP...looks almost like mine.

I'll post some pics of my 1911s/2011 here soon.

Re: Lets see those 1911's!!!!

1911's are teh yummy.

New Series 70 Colt built by Yost-Bonitz (1* Elite package). This one just plain runs.

yost01.jpg

60's vintage Colt 38 Super built by CT Brian. This is probably the closest I will ever get to a full boat custom. After some shakedown rounds put through it, I took it to a Pat Rogers carbine class as my transition weapon. It has accurails and every time I went to press check it, I would eject a round because the railed action was so slick. It was pretty funny. Also, Tim milled the curve of the slide a bit to get rid of pitting, so it was a little loose in holster. During the MEUSOC/Navy drills, it came flying out of the holster and surfing across three days of carbine class brass...needless to say, it is not a safe queen, but I would have liked to have kept it pristine for at least 6 months, not 2 weeks.

Current primary carry piece - Kimber Royal Carry. Box stock besides grips. Runs great. Going to get an overhaul soon now that my Colt Commander is ready to carry.
royalcarry01.jpg

60's Vintage Colt Lightweight Commander. The patina on this one is great and I didn't want a full custom job to retain it coolness. I did have some tall Yost retro sights put on as well as an ambi safety (lefty), trigger job, fresh springs and any internal parts replaced that needed it. This pic is pre-mods...I will see the upgrades when I am home on my next leave. This one will get full time carry status while the Kimber gets some custom work done.
coltlight01.jpg

Also have a stainless new Series 70 that will get turned into a suppressor host.

I am on the hunt for a vintage 38 Super Lightweight Commander.
