Just got this one in. It is really great(to me, anyway) to see see photocopies of the Grand Ol' Man's letters. If you have read much by or about Keith, you will know he had a running hate/hate relationship with Jack O'Connor. In at least one letter, he refers to O'Connor as "270" and mentions O'Connor trying to kill him.
His typing is something you have to see. It bunched up, out of line and the misspellings are numerous. But it is a treat to read his correspondence. He notes in one letter that he wants to get a "machine" with the ball so he will stop hitting three keys at once and making a mess of his letters. I recall that when he wrote "Hell, I Was There," there was an agreement that he would record it and someone else would do the typing.
