Reticle choice is very personal, of course. As far as quality goes, Leupold makes nice scopes, but I do not think they have any advantage over the competition in the quality department.
Burris XTR is a nice choice with an interesting reticle. One thing to note is that when you change magnification, the whole eyepiece turns. On one hand changing magnificaiton is veyr quick: just grab the eyepiece. On the other hand, if you keep Butler Creek caps on the scope the ocular one will change position.
Optically, I think XTR is a little better than the Leupy, but they are not far apart.
