I thought you guys might want to see these little puppies.
I wouldn't say that I want to do a lot of them but they were fun. Kinda made me want my own in a 44.
We cut the barrels down to 16.5 and recut all the tubes a moved the sight pieces were given back so the customer could retain them.

Re: Lever guns.........

That's something a guy doesn't see everyday! Are they all .44 and how well do the suppressors work on those?

Re: Lever guns.........

They are all 357's. I didn't have time to shoot them with the cans on them. Mike from AAC just brought them up for the photo opp. It would sound the same as a 9mm as long as you were shooting subs in it.

The reason I want to do a 44 is because that's what rides in my cross draw when we are poke'n around in the bush put'n stuff down. i just figure it was the next natural progression for a side kick. I think everyone who has ever shot something with the right type of bullet knows what a 44 does to a critter.

Mike said he didn't know if the 45 can would handle it or not. He was supposed to do some research and let me know. The 44 special will certainly work but I say go big or go home. With or without the can a 16" 44 mag is a bad ass in the swamp.

These are custom Marlin takedowns in .45-70, and.450 Marlin.

Are these from Wild West Guns?

Re: Lever guns.........

Interesting putting a tube on a lever action. I like it. Not as much as a bayonette on a lever action. I have respect for those who prefer lever actions. Something about being a man I guess. Even better is cracking someone in the head with the butt of a lever action.

Actualy Lee Hadaway, fron The Arms Room in Trinidad CO, built them for me.
Thanks for the compliments. I call them my sawed off cannons.

Re: Lever guns.........

I like! Funny I should see this thread as just last night I was talking with a coworker and mentioned that I don't have a lever gun and would like to have one in .44. What manufacturer makes a good 44 mag lever gun?

Get a used Winchester or Marlin still makes them new I believe.

Re: Lever guns.........

Has anybody considered rechambering a Browning BLR in .300Blk and threading for a suppressor? Would be a pretty neato little lever gun. They offer takedown models as well, with integral scope rails I believe. Box magazine and fit/finish that seems to be a bit better than the new Winchesters and Marlingtons, there is alot to like IMO.
