Hi all,

First post but been lurking for quite a while. I'm looking for a light weight tripod that can also be taken hunting. I have a RRS Anvil ballhead and after reading the forum, got the Inorel RT90c tripod from Amazon. That thing is a beast. Super solid, but it weighs 6 pounds. Any recommendations for a tripod that is lightweight but fairly stable? Would like to keep it under $400. Thanks.

Yes, Nancy up, show these Karen's that your not a pussy and carry around a real mans tripod, the 40 lb Anvil (patent pending) tripod !
A freaking girl scout can carry around a flimsy 10-20 lb tripod.
Those light weight tripod carrying Them/They's will give you a wide berth while your strutting around with the Anvil (patent pending) tripod.

Really anything that has a decent carbon fiber leg thickness will be lighter than what you have now, but you give up weight capacity and max height with the weight loss.
Here's a recommendation, just don't be seen in public with it !!!!

I have been looking for a tripod with similar requirements as well. The two vets no name jr. tripod seems pretty good from the specs. I shoot with several guys that have other two vets tripods and they all really like them.

The two vets no name tripod is very nice for the money. I have an RRS and for double the price is not double the strength, but I do like USA made products. My buddy has been beating on the no name coyote hunting for last four months with no issues
