I was wanting to know if anyone has ever LineX or truck bed coated the stock for added pounds and texter? This might be stuped but im new to rifles and wanted to see.

ive used the ratttle can bed liner from auto-zone with great results for bot grip areas and whole stock pinting , works great and its pretty cheap

I don't think your going to add any significant weight with LineX

What would be the ideal weight for a long range rifle? If that is even a question. Im just getting started and reading some of this stuff is over my head.

I know LineX comes in several colors. Don't know about the DIY types, but in this day and age I'm sure they do.

I wouldn't do it, epoxy texture isn't that hard to do, and makes for a much nicer finished product.

you could also try a FREE sample from http://www.chirienterprise.com/Other/order_sample.html. i used it on my stock, and it works great. has a pretty agressive grip to it as well. Did i mention this stuff is FREE
