I've got a Mcree for sale right now in the options and accessories thread, $650

Re: R700 Chassis under 1k?

I have been looking at the xlr pretty seriously it will save you around 2lbs on the whiskey 3 which helps quite a bit when I will likely have around 11+ lbs in action and barrel.

Re: R700 Chassis under 1k?

Love my Mcrees. I won't have anything else. Shit ton of adjustability. It just works and they are priced right.

Re: R700 Chassis under 1k?

Another vote for Mcree great people to deal with. The is stock is solid even the folder version there is NO play in it. The Mcree gives you a lot of room to customize it to how you want it.

Re: R700 Chassis under 1k?

The XLR seems like a nice stock, but it's not 2 lbs lighter than our Whiskey-3. Our fixed Whiskey-3 is 4lb 10oz, it looks like the XLR is 3lb 15oz with their tactical buttstock, saving 11oz. Maybe their carbon fiber one would save 2 pounds but I'm not sure.

Re: R700 Chassis under 1k?

i got my mcree with folder and mags for 800, for the cash i thought it was the best option..
i have 1 on my savage now, but building a 700 and wanted to look at other options to see if i could do better for the cash..

i like the new carbon XLR, but a bit to much $$$ for me..

I was WRONG. My stock was shipped to the builder on-time! I just didn't know about it!

Kyle at XLR had a very quick response and I apologize again.

My bad

I see my esteemed colleagues already mentioned Manners Composite Stocks with the Badger Ordnance Mini Chassis... to me this is absolutely the best of the best options. I really zeroed on a chassis for the bolt and go, lack of bedding needs and the accuracy inherent to chassis.... detachable magazines etc, but... and I say this very reluctantly and guarded asto not offend. Many of the most popular chassis I hated the looks. I didnt want a metal rifle or bolt action AR...I WANTED a rifle with a rifle stock... like a military M24/M40 with HS or McMillan stocks,

Enter Manners. Highest quality stock build, incredible looks and many styles to choose from... plus the Badger Ordnancemini chassis is a game breaker.

But it doesnt look like a typical chassis setup. But for me at least that was exactly what I am looking for.
