I had an ar 10 built with a krieger barrel and a little bastard break, every time I shoot the rifle, the break comes loose after a few rounds. I dont want to have to buy another break if I dont have too, will blue loctite mess with the barrels harmonics at all and is there anything I need to worry about using it on the break?

Grab a piece of flat brass stock, I think it was 7/16 wide, just wide enough to put in the slots of the break. Put in it the slot and smack the end of the brass with a light hammer.

That's how I take mine off and on.

Brakes with no wrench flats and no crush washers are a pain in the butt. Especially when you are trying not to mar the finish.

Blue locktite and as much torque as you can get while maintaining the proper orientation.

On muzzle brakes the rule of thumb is to at least turn it 90 degrees from first contact and no more than 420 degrees. Although I believe that is with a crush washer installed NOT mated to the shoulder of the barrel.

Goodluck,

That red high temp gasket silicone might work as well and will be easier to get of then Loc-Tite.

Doesn't blue Loc-Tite just turn to mush once the barrel heats up?
