I’ve got an LMT 24in 65CM 1:10 barrel, and I’m wondering what bullet will stabilize the best in a 1:10 6.5 Creedmoor barrel?

    I’m a little surprised that it’s a 1:10 barrel as opposed to a 1:8...

anyone have any general thoughts on this?

Also does anyone have this barrel in any decent load work for it?

Funny enough, thats why I asked... I was looking at the same thing. According to that pretty much no bullet in current use is actually able to be stabilized by that barrel. Which is really weird... part of me is wondering why LMT would even sell that barrel in a 1:10 twist

Maybe some ninja pipe hitters shooting 85 and 107’s?

So the documentation from LMT says that it’s a 1 in 10 twist... I pull it out of its case and take a look at the barrel and it’s a 1:8.

    potential problem solved...

Also explains why it stabilized it was 147 grain bullets relatively well when I was signing it in.

That kind of crossed my mind... that they made it for shooting 110 grain in 105 grain bullets.

What is interesting is that documentation actually says they made 24 inch barrels in 1:10 twist... and the 1:8 barrels are not listed anywhere in 24 inch versions.

Well, time to get the lab radar out and see what 24 inches does for you on an LMT MWSMLK AR10
