Hey guys,
I have had my LMT Mws 20"ss a few months now, I absolutely love it. It really accurate and reliable.
The only issue I am having is while shooting prone and off bench, the muzzle with flash hider jumps left after every shot. So much so as I have to reposition the rifle to get the target back on target. Follow up shots become difficult. Is anyone else have this problem or is this an issue of bad technique. I installed a JP muzzle break in hopes that this will help with the muzzle jumping. Will this help and do you think the muzzle break will effect the accuracy due to excess vibration and redirection of expanding gasses?

Sounds like a position problem.

If you have a chance, shoot some prone off a bipod. Be sure to lay strait behind the rifle. Once I got used to it, I cant see how anyone can shoot differently. Once you get used to strait behind the rifle in prone, move back to the bench where the same theory applies.

Thanks for the tips guys, I think you may be correct in it may be my position behind the rifle. Currently I'm kinda off centered to the left, I'll try to position myself straight behind the rifle next. Thanks

I have a custom SASS and was having much the same issues.

Turned out to be 100% a positional issue because I was dropping my shoulder too much.

I'd definitely try and be more straight back and make sure to keep your posture in check.

Silly question..Are you "loading the bipod"? Meaning are you pushing forward into the bipod also? I agree with the correct positioning, but the bipod needs to be loaded to take out another variable.

Its not really "pushing" the bipod forward per say, you are more or less stacking dead weight behind the gun.
