Hey guys. New here. Just getting into reloading. Just bought a Remington 700. Gonna upgrade this rifle in the future, but just getting started. What’s the best round/brass/powder amount for best accuracy for this factory barrel?

That was my "gateway rifle" too. Mine shot Federal GMM 168s pretty well. Once I had saved up enough brass I started reloading for it. Federal brass gets an undeserved bad rap IMO. Properly prepped it's perfectly adequate, especially if you start your reloading career with saved brass from factory loads. If you're starting from scratch, Lapua brass is the gold standard. I didn't save my logs from back then but 45.2 gr. Varget under the 168 SMK rings a bell. There's lots of good information out there, but I'd advise a new reloader to concentrate on learning about the process rather than hoping to get hooked up with "the load." The pinned threads in the Reloading forum are outstanding.
