i am curious if anyone has load data for a 7mm wsm using retumbo powder and 180 berger vld bullets.

i shot these out of a rifle i got here. the rifle is a lawton 7000 action with a 26 inch benchmark barrel. at 69.6 grains of retumbo i got 3033 fps. and at 70.2 i got 3038. these were through an oehler 35p.

i am very happy with the speed. i worked up loads looking for pressure and stopped at 70.2. these bullets are into the lands and i am looking for pressure. the bolt lifted easy on all of them, though towards the end of this string, which started at 66 grains, the lettering was starting to "flatten" out on the head of the case.

just curious if anyone has any info from berger. i have tried to get in touch with them and have not gotten a response from them.

one other question. how does loading the bullet very long and into the lands affect pressure.

thanks for your help.
