Not too sure where I should post this question, so here goes.

I understand if you are breaking a rifle in than the idea would be to break it in and then work on loads. What do you guys do who do not break in? Do you simply start your ladder tests with a fresh rifle?

I clean the new barrel to make sure there isn't anything left in it like oil or metal shavings from chambering, then got to the range and shoot the damn thing as much as possible for half a day then go home happy and work on some more load development if need be with all the newly fireformed brass.
