Loaded these to factory length (2.80), cases trimmed to 2.010 (Dillon Rapid Trim). I used Remington, and Black Hills cases (All trimmed to same length in same sitting).

(First 4 groups were Remington cases only)

I loaded 50 cases with EXACTLY 44.8gr BLC-2. Results:
First group including clean cold bore (5 shots):

Second group (5 shots):

Then thought to myself, "Self, this rifle shot equally well with loads ranging from 44.6 to 45 with no pressure signs, all to same POA. Why not see how close the Dillon powder measure meters this powder."

So, the next 50 I set my powder measure to roughly 44.8 grains. I tested 25 in a row to see how close it would get. Turns out +/- .1 grains. Figured that was close. Results:
5 shots (still learning how to shoot, I think. Pretty sure I pulled that flyer...):

Then I wanted to try the Black Hills cases. Results:

Interesting to say the least. I think that I am going to use the dillon powder measure method and just check every 4 or 5 to make sure it's close (+/- .1 grains). Seems to me that was quicker, leaving me more time to shoot and less loading "perfect" ammo.

Re: Load tested: .308, 175gr SMK, BLC-2

I tried BLC-2 in my .308 at 100 yards and was all excited at the small groups. Then I did a ladder test at 500 yards 3 times over three different days. At the same time I ran a ladder using my usual Varget load for the .308. The BLC-2 seemed a little temp sensitive and vertical spread was a bit erratic? Couldnt figure it out? Couldnt find an accuracy Node at all. The results with Varget beat it hands down so I just gave up on BLC-2 and stayed with Varget. That was my BLC-2 experience just thought Id share.

I'd be interested to see if when you run a ladder if you get good results or end up with the vetical spread problems I was having. I couldnt find a NODE with the BLC-2 at all?? Let me know if you ever stretch it out and run a ladder test.
Thanks for sharing your results. GREAT groups by the way!!
