Disgruntled cook with high-powered guns threatened mass shooting at Long Beach hotel, police say

Long Beach police said the man told a coworker Monday that he planned to come into work and shoot people. The hotel's management contacted police.

It's not illegal to build one in CA. However, if you can use the magazine realize button it can not have a pistol grip. There's other things it can't have, but I don't remember what they are and I don't care anymore because I live in Texas. If the rifle has a fixed magazine you can have all of those evil parts on your rifle.

Yeah, I know that there are a series of changes for the rifle to be CA compliant but if they are not on the rifle does that mean he manufactured the rifle? I must have missed something in the article. Thanks for the reply.
