Rifle Scopes long range hunting scope

hey guys so I've got a buddy that is building a 28 nosler for elk hunting and possible long range work and he needs a scope. this will be his first time getting into precision stuff so he doesn't have a clue and I've pretty much only ran g2 razors so I cant really recommend much. just wondering what I should point him towards that would be in the 1k price range? tried doing some research but couldn't find much. thanks for the help!

Bushnell LRTSi, or an LRHSi if you can find one.
