Looking to suppress my Springfield TRP and I would like to find a good smith to fit the new barrel for me. Any suggestions or first hand experience would be awesome. Just want to send it off and know its going to get done right the 1st time.

Honestly i would send it just for a barrel to Springfield custom shop. They do TOP TIER work and have heard nothing but AWESOME reviews on their stuff.

I second this recommendation. Ray did some great work for me when I was stationed out there. You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer guy. Here is a link to the thread.

Derrick,
Give snommittj here on the Hide a jingle. He is very very good with 1911's & is in SC. He can handle this & all your other 1911 needs. He does good crisp work & is going to build my final 1911 for me.

Just a caveat to Joe's list...some of these guys only take full custom work and some have years long wait lists...

I have some work done by Marc at Gemini Customs...American Pistolsmith Guild member, does ala cart work and reasonable prices and turnaround.

Also, Ben Simonson of Boresight Solutions (badass Glock at M&P grip reduction and stippling guy) has a 1911 smith working with him now...also had work down by them.
