As the title states. I will be moving to Longview at the end of july. I am curious if there are any gun ranges in the area. Looking for 100-800 yards or whatever I can find.

ITGuy, you're in luck.
there is a range in Longview that has the usual 100yd rifle, pistol, etc. Not faraway just south of Carthage, would be the Panola Rifle and Pistol Club range which is the hipower rifle center of NE Texas. Monthly hipower and MR prone matches. You could shoot F class at the MR prone. There are some more within a couple hours drive including OK, LA, and AR.

Shreveport has a few places you could check out. Long range alley has a 1000 yard range. If you do head out there one day, shoot me a PM. I need to get out there and stretch the legs on some of my stuff.

Thanks Clarence, Once I get settled in and get to know the area I hope to make it around to some of the f-class matches. Would even look into doing some Tactile matches but I wouldnt know where to start with those.
