I like the new Nikon 4k. Works great on steel out to 1400ish. (Farthest I've tried). I have ranged bare hill sides at 2200.
I too am in the market for a quality "budget" RF. I'm torn between the Monarch 3000 and the Nikon 4K. I am just looking for a target RF as I don't hunt but want something that will consistently range steel at 2000yrds in virtually all conditions (I don't shoot that far now but hope to get there). I think both of these fit that bill, so for me, whichever one I find cheaper on Black Friday wins.
I read (somewhere) that the restrictions on the lasers are going to be eased next year. If Class 3 LRFs become available next year...wouldn't that be worth waiting for?
I was thinking about getting one from Optics planet. Comes out to $294 or so shipped after 10% off coupon.I picked up on of the Nikon 4K’s today at Basspro with their Black Friday discount. This little thing is legit. Farthest thing I can see from my yard is a stand of trees at 2200 yards. Pings off of them almost instantaneously.
And I thought I got a good deal paying $330 shipped.Ordered.. Optics Planet code BFCYBER saved took 11% off price. Paid $290 shipped for the 4K and they will also include a $25 e-gift cert for next time.
And even if they do, they certainly won't be offered at this price point for awhile.glad to hear about the Nikon rangefinders working well and ranging decent distances. I'll probably go that route in the near future, or maybe see what they are going to do around SHOT (they have them on sale on the nikon website as well, maybe they have a "new" model coming out?
I've worked with red/green/ir lasers and the FDA in the past and I'd be absolutely shocked if they relaxed the civilian standards for lasers.
Yup. The Nikon 4K for $290 shipped at Optics Planet but they have sold out. They are about a month backordered now.any great deals?
The sale is still going on. I bought mine yesterday for $399.Eurooptic had a sale a while ago on the Leica 2000b for 399. Great rangefinder. It will actually range that far and has great glass to boot
That is good to hear, thank you. I can't find any info on it yet but I will keep an eye out for the release. There’s a new Arca Swiss Mount coming out for the 4k in the next week or so
Sorry to hear that! Some of you guys continue to send me question's and ask for assistance with your Nikon product.
I am sorry, but after almost a decade of answering Nikon Sport Optic’s question’s and helping guys out, Nikon has chosen to let me go. I wish you luck in finding your answer.
