I had a Stag Arms lower on my GG&G upper. I screwed up and cracked the ear off the trigger guard so I bought a DPMS lower. Even with an accuracy wedge it has a much looser fit than the Stag. I build one for my buddy and had the same fit. Doubt it makes much difference but is a little annoying. Seems the front take down pin is were all the slop is. As long as she still good straight I guess thats all that matters.

Re: Loose fit with DPMS lowers?

It's a crap shoot whether or not an upper/lower combo will lock up tight. Both Vltor uppers that I've had locked up tight in just about any combo. A brand new LWRC was very sloppy, but a friends was not bad at all. Right now, I have an RRA lower that is extremely tight w/ a DD upper. The DDM4 is good, not great.

From everything I've heard, it does not matter. But it IS annoying.
