This group was shot at 200yds from my Classic stocked 308, both stock and barrel are takeoffs from Arnold Arms, neck tension is .003 shooting 178BTHPs that shoot diagonal in my SPSS 308. Why they shoot so well in this rifle is beyond me. Load is 47.3grs 2000MR, WLR primers, Rem brass. OAL is 2.830", used a .334 bushing in Hornady match dies.

Nice shooting. Why the difference in performance with your rifles? Probably due to harmonics. However, a 5 or 10 shot group would be better. By the by, give the trigger puller some credit . Like I said, nice shooting.

Thanks fellas, here's my 308 next to my 708, this is before I traded the TPS rings for the Warne rings and put the TPS on my 6mm Rem.

Actually, only this lot number of these bullets didnt shoot well in my SPSS, dont know why but they shot a diagonal pattern, previous lot number was fine, like this. SPSS on top.

That can happen from lot to lot. However, the way you describe your ammo it seems as though you are shooting reloads. Even still there may be slight, but sufficient, differences in the chamber spec between the rifles. Barrel contact can do this as well. Have you checked the barrel clearance with a dollar, both cold and hot? Not trying to be insulting here I just don't know your experience level. My own reloads don't always shoot the same in different guns. If you want help trouble shooting this give me as much detail as you can stomach typing. Pics of a piece of fired brass from each rifle would help.
