Really looking at 1-8 nx8, but before I pull the trigger I want to make sure I’m not missing something. Really want a light weight 1 or 1.5 on the low end and 4-8 on the higher end. FFP with moa adjustments is a plus. Prefer .5 moa vs .25.

Well, I am not aware of any lightweight FFP LPVOs on a budget. The least expensive FFP LPVO I recommend is Burris XTR II 1-8x24 and it is not a lightweight.

The lightest is probably March 1-8x24 Shorty, but it is over $2k.

I'd probably take a close look at Sig Tango4 1-4x24. They have an FFP model with 0.5MOA clicks for around $500, I think,

Tango6 1-6x24 is also available with MOA clicks, but it a bit over $1k. Nice scope though.

I can tell you that the Primary Arms PLX 1-8 has really nice glass, but it aint lightweight. The Trijicon Credo "should" be real nice, except the one I just got has major focus issues so already going back for exchange before even cycling a round through it. I think it's like 2 oz lighter than the PA. If you want lighter you're probably headed toward a 1-6, and PA has an FFP model in that as well but it's not PLX so no Japanese glass. I've always been curious about the Leupold offerings but I can't stomach that cost for a 1-8ish optic on an AR.

On the NXS 1-8x24, I've noticed the eyebox is a little strained, however some other options to consider would be the Razor 1-6 if you aren't worried about weight or my favorite which is the Zeiss v6 1-6x24.

A Kahles K16i would fit you requirements with the exception of the FFP. Nothing is going to be lighter, super durable and great glass. Probably see some coming up for sale since their 1-8 is coming to market soon.

have you looked through the meopta optika? I seen they offer both in first or second. I have not found one to look at yet, but I like the price.

I'm mostly happy with my Burris XTR2 1-8 ffp. Glass is a bit iffy on 8x but for what it costs, I guess I'll suffer that aspect. Otherwise I think I made the best choice at the time of purchase which was a few years ago.

From what I've read it's 2 to 3 times the $ to get higher satisfaction and I'm not spending the big $ on a LPVO. Especially since all of them have something about them I don't prefer.

A scope I bought which is interesting to me is Athlon's new service rifle scope. It's a Helos 1-4.5x24, I like the side focus parallax knob from 10Y out and I can dial out parallax which is rare to find in a LPVO! The glass is better than the Burris with both on 4.5X as well. Kind of a neat reticle and daylight bright illume, well not as bright as the Burris is. Though SFP but I don't need FFP in this low of magnification.

I like the smallish center dot on both those scopes, and the big ring also.

March would be my #1 choice because of the side focus, if $ were no object.
