The smell of the wet fresh cut grass is worth it if I do nothing else this morning.

As an aside I think I became a hater of things RMR today….

Decided I was going to bring a pistola to shoot and I dug out the AXG 320 with RMR.

It has very little use. When it goes back in the safe I shut off the sight.

Pull it out this AM try to turn the sight on….nothing. Pressing the side buttons till fingers hurt, holding them in. Nothing.

Pisses me off because a battery change is a sight removal op, repainting screws, wondering if my zero is good.

Thinking about my prior coworkers now packing 320s with dots, Half those sights will be dead and guys will be carrying them not knowing until qualifying once a year. They bought Sig sights with topside battery change so no excuse but it will happen.

Brought the M18 with irons instead.

Never fired any of this ammo.

This is from that big batch that was surplussed when ammo was plenty.

A member on here must have made an investment in the 30K drum and sold them off here in lots of 1K or so.

If I remember right I think it was at approx $0.75/rd.

    The good old days!

Fed GMM was at a buck around than for 175 so I didn’t go nuts buying it as my belief is FGMM will outshoot this……I will find out…….and I wish I had bought more anyway.

    Never had this happen.

Held cold bore 1 inch lower based off data with Creedmoor 167 Lapua and CCB was .1 right of center.

Held shot two center and hit .2 high/.1 left.

Made scope adjust for new ammo.

Now let’s try this dud round on a second strike…..it’s like finding your RMR died but worse.

I used to get that ALL THE TIME with M118LR when I had a lightweight Tubb firing pin in my rifle. Went back to the factory Remington pin and never had another issue.

All Remington from the 5 digit era.

Has no problem busting caps on the Creedmoor ammo.

Going to finish 5 LC/LR on the target I am on than I’m switching to the Creedmoor for last 5 to compare.

I was getting misfires probably 50% of the time, only with M118LR and M852, went back to the regular firing pin and it went away. Maybe your M1A will light it….

Pulled the trigger 13 times and I have fired 9 rounds…..

It’s grouping okay but “Click!” sucks.

    I like “Bang!”

5 more LC LR(sometimes) than 5 Lapua to compare.

    Twenty pulls 14 rounds fired.

The case of 168 FGMM I was saving for use in the M1A or when I wanted to get the most out of the LMT just became bolt gun only and the 2K or so of LC LR is now semi auto only.

Got to fire a couple Creedmoor Lapua to check zero and than 5 to group.

167 grn Lapua SCENAR in new Lapua case. Bought a shit ton of this stuff when CMP had it…..

Dude started instructing dude on circumsized M1A and actually said this “On this weapon system if it’s okay to dry fire……”

Now other dude just called it a Garand.

    WTF is wrong with me.

Now two dudes both either side of M1A scout dude having him dry fire and analyzing his trigger squeeze.

I want to shout “It’s a fucking short barrel M1A!”

His groups are actually sub 4MOA but markedly vertical. For what it is not bad.

Dude in tight camo top, shaved head, arms bowed to his sides like Zelensky has to be a cop judging by his “weapon system” jargon.

in that place, think i'd be on a bass hunt. looks perfect.
Water has no oxygen in it.

Every fall they buy like 500 trout and throw them in the small pond for a kids fishing derby.

I think every fish is dead by next day.

They need to stop doing it.

There is a beaver dam up stream has to be 50 yards wide. They should pound part of it out and get some water flow.

My old club in the state next to you had that problem. They recently put aerators in and it’s helped keep the trout during the hotter months and you can catch them all year round. Would be worth looking into if the club can swing it.
