During the powder drought I picked up some LT32 to try.

The rifle is a 1/7 16 inch LMT chrome Lined. I have some 77grn NOS CC and some 55grn NOS ballistic tips to play with.

I am going to work up an OCW using published min/max info but probably wont have the scope to fire it for a while still. Id like to make some iron sight plinking ammo in the meantime.

Anyone played with this powder and have recommendations on where I may find a half decent plinker round? This is supposed to be powder similar to the old IMR8208 (pre XBR).

I've found a decent load for coyotes with lapua brass, blitz kings and 23.5gr of lt32

Just made an OCW from 18.3 to 20.3 (+.2 over max) using 77grn SMKs, ICC 1X fired, WSRP. I wont be firing that though until I get my scope and can assure a tight group.

Im going to load up some 55 grain Nosler BT ballistic tips next probably going from 20.2 to 22.4 (+.2 over max). Again I wont fire that until I get my scope.

These loads seem anemic but Im basing my limits on Accurates data.

Id like to find a reasonable load for the 55 grn bullets so I can just go to town, load out my last 400 rounds of ammo and switch my machine over to .308.

Im tired of loading little bullets and I only have a couple of hundred .308 rounds left.

not what you want for heavies in 223 or 308 , that is better served with the xbr8208 - worked up a decent 150gr 308 load, but LT-32 is very nice in light 223 using the 5.56 max powder charge with a 53gr flat base sierra

I bought some Nosler 55 grn ballistic tips specifically for this powder.

I did an OCW string with the 77s just to see - not a big loss if it doesnt work out. Ill do an OCW with the 55's for future reference but Im tired of .223. I just want to load out the last hundred or so rounds at a proven load and convert my press to .308.

+1 on 8208XBR 23.3 and a 77 is all I can expect from my abilities.

    Thank you USMC.

Ive seen that split chart - .23 up top and 5.56 below. Good stuff.

Doesnt seem many have used this for .22. More field knowledge available in the 6mm calibers for bench rest.
