Anyone lube their bullet before seating? Thinking next batch of ammo may not be shot for several months. Figured it wouldn't hurt to lube em up some.

Thoughts?

Never lubed any ammo. And I’ve had some sit a year or two then shoot very well in a 1,000 yd fclass match

Load them long as stated above then seat before going shooting. This is a common practice

I’d do that before I’d lube the neck. If you did lube maybe a dry lubricant. But you can run into consistency issues as well as contamination of the powder if over lubed

Personally I wouldn’t worry about it

I experimented one time and annealed a handfull of brass, full lengthy resized and then lubed the necks before loading. The bulets seated super easy, but they show way low. I seem to remember being a few feet at 1,000 yards

You know I’ve long thought about trying this, then the plandemic came and I haven’t done much reloading to save on components so I haven’t tested. I was going to try my alcohol/lanolin mix.
