So, "we" did exactly what we do not want govt. doing, shut some one down and get rid of them for being a jerk, saying things we do not like ?

I think it was probably pure annoyance. Personally, if someone is constantly an annoying pain in the ass, I will ban them from my life, often in a socially unfit manner, without empathy or apology. Virtue signaling by patiently allowing dumbasses access to my time is a weak soft girly man move. I also jacked up my mother in law immediately after my wedding. Best thing I even did.

I guess sometimes in the world of the internet I forget someone is funding these sites and make the rules. This place is so free that when someone gets booted it seems odd. Now some other sites I visit if you post a bad word you get a time out.

I used to put some people on ignore but then i was missing the howler monkey fun because you need context. So, I ignore manually, on a post by post basis.
