    Hello,

Never had an LVPO type scope before but I think I may just need one. I am working out a deal on a m70 in .223 with a barrel that appears to be 18-20 inches. I'll confirm soon on the exact length. Anyhow, I don't really have a need for this rifle but I've had the itch for a .22 cal rifle and while .223 rem was not on my list, it's a Winchester 70 and I did not want to pass up on that.

Again, I don't have a need for this but getting it just because.

    Possible uses:

    Shoot it just for fun
Deer hunting close ranges, inside 250 yards
    Steel shooting
Carry it around in truck when out in the field
    Handiness
    Maneuverability
    Coyotes
    Javalinas
    Light
    Minimal recoil
    Cheap ammo

So with that in mind, I really don't know what I want lol. I have in mind to use an LRTS in 3-12. If I'm not mistaken though, I believe an LVPO (again, never owned or looked through one) could be used almost a red dot and should be WAY faster for target acquisition. Can anybody confirm on that? If so, that sounds like a really attractive option.

Feel free to recommend anything that isn't at all too big or heavy. Again, I'm not sure just yet what will go on it, so it can't hurt to receive suggestions.

    If it helps to know, I already have a 6.5 CM with a 3-15x50 and a .270 with a 4.5-18x44 and another .270 with a 4-12 so...

    Thanks,

    Serg
