Hey Guys! Looking for a little advice from some people who have seen or shot both! Personally I like the ergonomics of the REPR better. I like the side charge handle as well. ( This will probably bring up the scar, personally I just don't like the way the scar feels but I know they are awesome as I used to own one.) Basically all I need this new weapon for is pig hunting, last week My friend and I got into a herd and I took out 11 of them with my Sig 716 as he drove alongside them. BIG TIME FUN!! Anyway There are times I find myself needing to make a 700ish yard shot and instead of hauling around my Surgeon 6.5Creedmoor, I would feel more confident if I had an all in one close quarter rifle that can be used for longer range as well. My Sig shoots MOA so I'm sure I could use it...but what it boils down to is I just think you can never have too many black guns in the times we are in. So I say all that to say I'm wanting the more accurate of 2. I have several super accurate AR's like my knights and GAP but I'm just wanting another one to add to the collection. I want one that I can shoot at least MOA consistently! I'd like to here the pros and cons of both. My local store has both. I have a surefire 7.62 can also that I will run some. SO LETS HERE IT!! PLEASE JUST COMPARE THESE 2 WEAPONS!

I have both. The LMTLM8MWS (slick receiver) will be very close in weight to ergonomics as the repr. My favorite combo for the LMT 308 for accuracy is with the 16 SS, SOCOM brake (flashider for low light) and geissele SD series triggers depending on what you want. I like the 3.5 lbs sd3g, the sde and super tricon. Both my 16 ss and my 14.5 cl 308 barrel are more accurate than my repr.

I do like the repr, the side charging handle and the running cleaner but that's all it has on my LM8MWS. Every time; I grab the LMT and the repr isn't shot nearly as much. Win fire clean, a good DI rifle/carbine is very easy to maintain.

Weight-same if you go LM8MWS
Accuracy-LMT
Cleaning-Repr
Cost-LMT
Versatility-LMT
Reliability-had no issues with either but would grab the LMT if life or death first

THANK YOU!!!! Just the info I was looking for!!

Sorry I cant speak on either`s behalf sir, but I was wondering, how do you like the Sig? Havent heard much at all about those, especially the 716.

Absolutely wonderful gun IMO. Shoots MOA- which is pretty good if you know what I mean. There's a lot of AR10's that will not. Recoil isn't bad and I've never had a failure of any kind.

I have a 18" Repr dmr. Its very reliable, I like how it handles and its extremely accurate. I topped mine off with a nightforce and couldn't be happier. I have the older style with the 4 setting gas port and I like it. I shoot a National Match M1A and the repr is a superior weapon and is my go to shtf gun.
