LWRC rifles in 5.56

Re: LWRC rifles in 5.56

GTG. Picked up 2 m6A2 spr's right before the shtf. Took them to the ranch with me the next day to get some range time in...things rock. Runs great, cycles fast, smooth and accurate. Worth the money to me.

Re: LWRC rifles in 5.56

I have an A2 and A3. When I originally got the A2, I thought my scope was broken because I was shooting about 6MOA at 100 yards sighting in with surplus ammo. While we were spotting shots from a rest, saying things like "three left, one up" then "two right, one down", there was some snickering along the firing line.

Switched to 69 and 77 SMKs, and it has been MOA ever since. I bought the A3 18" upper used on gunbroker for an unbelievably cheap price because it "would not group". This one ended up being a similar story, about 4MOA surplus, shoots better than I do with the heavier stuff. I am glad I took the chance on it.

Both have been completely reliable for me, and I love the concept. After thousands of rounds they stay accurate, stay clean, and are just completely trouble free. If I had it to do over again, I would look very hard at the 16" SPR and A5 uppers, which are a little lighter since I really do not use the side and bottom rail space. They are the first ones I am going to go to when looking for the next AR-15 pattern rifle.

I had the same experience. It shoots the light, surplus stuff 2-3 MOA. Got some Blackhills 77gr OTM, and it really started to shine. No malfunctions, runs really clean, and is a lot of fun to shoot.

Re: LWRC rifles in 5.56

I have two, a repr and a m6a5. Both can shoot moa with handholds, they are very reliable and run very clean especially when suppressed. LWRC rifles are just sexy.....the machine job on these rifles are dam near perfect, the cerakote jobs is second to none, they are just put together really nice. They are usually equipped with their very nice BUIS's, magpul furniture, and good triggers.

Yes, some of the other factory made ar's are more accurate, but both of mine can shoot moa groups and that is more than acceptable for their purpose.

Also, IMO lwrc rifles have a different recoil impulse than say a DI rifle. I'm not saying there is more, but it's just different.

I don't get into these whole brand vs. brand wars. I just wanted to share my experience with them, hope this helps.
