No problem. I have 3 of the LT-608 mounts, they are solid.

Understood - it happens.</div></div>
1stlDvet is right H2O MAN, all civilian M1A receivers made today are out of spec. The groove on the side of the receiver is usually not wide nor deep enough, and there is variance in the stripper clip guide. To make matters even more difficult, there is variance between the out of spec civilian receivers. So you can get a mount that is built to spec such as a shitty arms#18 and have it not fit right on your M1A, but pass it to a buddy and it will fit better on his. I had this happen to me; I got an arms#18, and the side bolt dictated the fit, so any attempt to straighten the mount caused the bolt to cross thread and strip. When the bolt was tightened flush, the mount wasn't flush with the side of the receiver, and it pointed way off center. To zero the rifle, I had to crank the windage so much that it ate up most of the available windage. I gave the mount to my dad, and it fit better on his M1A. Screw that, I went with a Sadlak mount and had Mike custom fit the mount to my receiver. It fits flush and points straight with the barrel like a mount should. It is pretty gay that SA does not have any sort of quality control for civilian M1As.
