Ok
Here it is long awaited. Made it there about a week ago.
I got the roedale brake just in time and was able to use it,
I have to say that that brake for being my first experience with a muzzle brake was perfect. There was almost know felt recoil at all.

I am happy with this configuration so far
Here are some more pics of the rifle>>

-Rem 700 long action Drilled and tapped for iron sights,Bedded with devcon in HS stock
-Rem700 pss barrel cut down to 24" with M24 crown.
-Rem 40X trigger with flat safty and adjust screw in the trigger shoe
-Hs precision pst 11 M24 spec stock but pad trimmed, and re appoxied
-Dakota 510 bottom metal
-Badger m24 spec 1piece base
-badger M40a3 rings
-Leupold Mark 4 m3 scope, M24 day optic.
-Caldwell S type 6-9 bipod

I know the rings are kind of a conflict of interest LOL this being based off and army rifle and all.

All groups were fired from a bipod with a rear bag.
All groups are three shot groups
Here is the report.

remington

It was a short day as i was exparimenting with the ammo.
I took Remington FMJ/BT umc ammo and replaced the 150gr. projectile with l50gr. SMK it worked out ok. and i there wasnt any copper on the lands after i fired 30rounds. I tried this with federal 150gr. power shock as well and the grouping was even better. The rest of the rounds went twords the zero and on 1 big target.
I am pretty happy with it right now, I have a krieger mtu just waiting to see some action but i think i am going to wait a while and shoot out the rem barrel.
Thanks again to every one on the hide that gave advice and assisted me along my first build.

Re: M24 Build Range Report

Fixed the pics for ya.
Nicely done. Get a stock pack or do it military fashion and tape foam to the stock to raise your cheek weld. I think you'll see you groups tighten up a bit.

Re: M24 Build Range Report

Thanks for the pic help fdkay.
I think the trigger pull is about 2lbs. it feels like it is at 1lb though.
But i dont have a trigger pull gauge.
I plan on getting either a khaki or Desert camo eagle stock pack.
But i have also been considering the SKD BALS-MK2 in khaki.
Thanks

I have NEVER seen any of the M24 triggers for sale ANYWHERE. Im sure if someone was to sell theirs it would go for a pretty penny. Im sure a good gunsmith could reproduce one. Id love to make one but I dont know where to start.
