the police stock has a non-adjustable length of pull, m24 is adjustable.
the latest and greatest incarnation of the m24 also offers adjustable comb height, whereas this is not available on the police stock. other than that, they are outwardly identical to include the fore end, the palm grip near the trigger, bedding block/chassis etc.
The barrel channel on both stocks is different too. The barrel channel on the 700P is a varmint contour, 1.25" at the breech and 0.830" at the muzzle and the M24 is a heavy contour, 1.20" at the breech and 0.900" at the muzzle.

M24 stocks suck. The buttplates always rattle when extended. Butt Spacers are far superior IMO.
The 700P would be the way I would go if I were making the decision. Opening the barrel channel is too bad, but if the stock still has the aluminum block which I think it does, it should work out well.
well if the 700 police is the same as the m24 with out the adjustable buttplate, thay look exactly the same . palm swells, round forend, one is just not adjustable. thats what ill do. a lot cheaper to.

Didn't know that. I thought both were aluminum bedding Block HS precision stocks.
The PSS stock does in fact have the aluminum bedding block too. The part no. for the PSS stock is PST012. I had this stock on my 308 before I decided to re-barrel it and re-stock it with the PST007 stock.
The PST024 is the HSP M24 stock, it is specifically made for the older Dakota or current Sunny Hill floor metal used on the M24. The M24A2 stock, PST025 has a different forend, more vertical grip and the adjustable butt is different, it also adds the adj. cheek piece as well. These are the only 2 M24 stocks made by HSP.
The PSS type stocks are inlet for the Remington factory aluminum BDL floor metal and the varmit contour barrel, there is a version with adjustable cheek as well but none of these are for the M24.
