I was wondering if anyone knows it that bolt from a standered bolt face action will work in a WSM action?

Re: M70 Actions.... Standered VS WSM

I bought one of the new bolts from Gun Parts Corporation a few weeks ago. I had it soaking in the solvent tank for 10 days, still hasn't broke loose some of the old cosmolene looking gunk that was on it. OD on the bolt body measures .6955", half a thou larger than the jeweled WSM bolt.

Bought all the small parts direct from Winchester, had $42 in them including spares and shipping.

Picked up a magazine box and follower on here from Slug.

The WSM striker assembly drops right in, firing pin protrusion was fine.

Seems to feed fine using the 308 mag box and follower.

Found an FN Near rail on another site - just need to barrel and stock this thing.

Should as long as it's a short action, all WSM's are short action recievers.

The screw spacing is different for scope bases if they are WSM or Standered.
