Any info or constructive criticism is appreciated.

I'm interested in a 3 lug design action like the Curtis Axiom. I like the 60° bolt throw.

What is the preferred magazine? I've noticed some actions accept multiple variants and some don't. Is three lug more forgiving that two lug? Is the magazine type more dependent on the stock/ chassis, and what prevents over insertion?

I had my heart set on a MPA PMR but feel uneasy about the feature that prevents over insertion. Any tips on this would be appreciated too.

Some magazine options- AICS magazines (i.e. double stack, single feed), AW magazines (i.e. true double stack)

MDT makes one too, magpul, Acurate....Im sure there are more.

Maybe the answer is Single stack for a cartridge like the 6.5 PRC, and double stack for the 6.5 creedmoor?

I haven't shot a bolt gun for a long time. Now that Im in NM there is wide open BLM land everywhere. Typically I'm a HK and LWRC shooter. They have been nothing but reliable for me. Ultimately, I would like to shoot a lot over the next year or two with the 6.5, and then upgrade the barrel and bolt to shoot 6.5 PRC at critters from far away.

Action has to have an AW cut to accept AW mags. Otherwise it’s AICS only. The curtis axiom is only aics unless you have it modified.

As far as magazine of choice, for aics, there’s a lot of choices. AI, accurate mag, mdt, etc etc. lots of personal preference.

For aw mags, it’s pretty much going to be the AIAW mags.

I personally won’t use anything except aw mags now (except for .223 of course).

I have a built .260 on REM700 SA and another one on a BAT Tactical Action and I only use AICS or Magpul Mags, I load them really long 2.850 - 2.870 OAL and have to shave the inside of the mags to get them to feed smooth but I dont have to load them this long just both rifles really like em long. You shouldn't have those problems with 6.5CM or PRC but dont base any of your decisions off the magazine IMO its just a really small part of the setup...
