Brakes are cool. Especially the badger FTE or APA LFB.
I don't know if magnaports would pass enough gas.

I have used their porting on pistols and it worked well for that, but if you want recoil reduction on the rifle and want them to do the work I'd suggest you have them put a screw on break for you rather than the simple porting...

Had them both. Mag-Na-Porting reduces recoil about 20 percent, but since the gases are directed up, the apparent reduction is more since you don't see the scope attacking your eye and causing a flinch. I did a .300 Weatherby years ago and it made a completely different rifle out of it. A brake with an expansion chamber can reduce the recoil up to 65 percent. It seems to me to be louder than the MagNaPorting however. I'd avoid MagNaPorting a high pressure pistol round such as the .454 Casull if you plan using hard cast bullets. The ports blow off the lube and the last inch leads like crazy. I know.

I HAVE GONE TO THEIR SITE THEY ALSO HAVE A SCREW ON BREAK .ITS ABOUT 230.00 DOLLARS .IS THAT ABOUT AVERAGE FOR A BRAKE AND THREADING ? I DONT KNOW OF A REPUTABLE SMITH THAT WILL DO A NICE JOB. I REALY WANT A QUALITY JOB AND BRAKE

You may not like that brake, as it appears that it would blow a lot of debris back up if your are in prone position.
APA gets, according to their web site, $95 for the LFB brake and $125 to install. If you are going to ship to MI then it should cost no more to ship to GA. I can tell you for sure that the guys at APA treat every gun like it is their own. And they treat customers with respect. Here's a link:

MY 300 RUM is mag-na ported and I love it. As said above it takes the muzzle jump out of the rifle, making it very pleasant to shoot and unlike most brakes if the rifle is any louder now than before it was mag-na ported I can't tell it.
